Our mission is to enhance excellence in chamber operations, so our primary goal is to be a resource for those who lead chambers of commerce in Florida. Highlighted below are some of the benefits of membership:
We host two conferences per year (Annual Conference in September and the Spring Conference in May) where we assemble speakers who address topics relating to all areas of chamber operations, including, but not limited to membership recruitment & retention, communications, events, government advocacy, programming, financials, etc.
We conduct weekly surveys every Thursday to gather and disseminate useful statistics and information. The majority of the survey topics and questions are submitted by chambers and often times are used to help them as they consider adding a new program and presenting an idea to their board. We host two regional meetings per year in our 7 regions throughout the state where members gather to share best practices, seek feedback/guidance from their peers on challenges and/or opportunities that they are facing as chamber professionals
We host free monthly webinar/seminars on topics relating to chamber operations. These are at no charge and are included in your membership. We keep them at 1 hour including Q&A as we know that everyone is busy.
- We facilitate a Certified Chamber program which serves as a tool to ensure that your chamber is operating using best industry practices and it also serves as a phenomenal self-evaluation tool.
- We offer the Florida Certified Chamber Professional (FCCP) designation, which individual chamber professionals can earn based on experience and years of service.
We present annual recognition to chambers and chamber leaders who have demonstrated excellence through our Chamber of the Year, Executive of the Year, Professional of the Year and Communications Awards.
In addition to the benefits listed above, one of the most valued benefits of FACP membership, according to our members, is the network of peers and industry experts whom you will meet and who are a phone call or email away when you have a question.
